Listening to the Rain and Thunder

Who else is sat somewhere or laying in bed with the lights off and window open just listening to the to the rain and thunder? Theres also the occasional flash of lightning.

Do you enjoy doing this if it's not currently doing it where you are? Anyone else find it relaxing?

Absolutely love listening to a storm.

No rain here yet but lots of lightning flashes and the occasional distant rumble of thunder.

Thunder and lightning terrify me. I have tried to sit and enjoy it,but I cant. It's hiding under the covers for me waiting for it to be over!

I love it... from the warmer side of my covers in the safety of my house

Not so much dashing from house to car getting lashed on as lightning sheeted the sky

The best thunder and lightning storm I ever saw was when I was in southern Spain and we could see and hear it over Morocco

I was in a cracker about 4 years ago in Provence on a ship on a river cruise. Just after midnight we had a massive thunder/hail storm. Forked lightning and it was so heavy the ship had to stop and hold position as the gps was wiped out. You couldn’t stand on deck or you would be shredded. Damned impressive, forces of nature..

I'm less than 12 miles from Derby and it missed me mostly. Saw last night's electric display though

I lay in bed last night with my curtains and windows open listening to it when it woke me up last night, the lightening was sat right above me, I love it always have, used to sit out on the doorstep and watch it when I was a kid.

Might I suggest Chopin's 'Raindrop Prelude'?

The skies above Soze Towers was lit up with electrical energy for about half an hour. Got a bit noisy too with the thunderclaps.

I had to sing the thunder buddy song.

I missed anything that might have passed over me. I must have slept deep.

I don’t feel relaxed but I can pick up the energy in the skies, I like storms. They are quite amazing.

I love watching a good storm. What’s even more impressive is watching one when you are flying over it in an aircraft, the colours are amazing.

Compy, you should have killed two birds with one stone and got the shower gel out, cleansed your soul...for the first time this month, at least.
