""Wuu2" is my latest first message from someone.
"
Agree it is actually a bit of a turn off as well.
The question what you up to? Is also one of most cringy first messages to send. It says im desparate and hope you will drop everything and meet me. At least introduce yourself and show a bit of politeness. |

Unfortunately those kind of messages just get deleted. I probably put more effort into reading and deleting
than they did in writing those paltry four letters in the first place! |

"Now it depends on my mood, making up different meanings to those abbreviations is fun if I'm bored..."
Be honest, you love decoding personalised number plates on the motorway, incorrectly. |

I mean it's great if you're just chatting quick messages to a mate or whatever, but I reckon that in a situation where you're having a more serious conversation then you need to just put a bit more effort in. Still, it's a quick indication of whether it's worth continuing the chat or not. |

Text talk is not something that should be used except maybe with friends or people you know are going to understand it. It just comes across as a little bit lazy to me. |

"Not too much to ask but if people want to talk that way it’s up to them isn’t it?
It is up to them, but don't expect a reply back, at least not from me."
Well I’m glad you decided to let the forum know
Is it written in your bio too? Maybe add it there too incase the people messaging you don’t see this |
