Tin town

There are often threads pitting cyclists against or for. But saw this...numbers going the wrong way surely we want more bikes and less cars?

I cycle a lot less than I used to. The condition of the roads are atrocious, coupled with attitudes towards me as I’ve been riding.

If I do, I use very quiet little country lane loops, and do as many ‘laps’ as I need to cover the required distance.

Most of my cycling is off road, as in cycle paths, towpaths. I avoid roads wherever possible.

North West

I haven't bothered to try and acquire a hand cycle adaptation because I can't imagine it's safe to sit at wheelchair height on the highway and peddle with my hands. It's too heavy to lift all that shite in/out of the boot to go handcycling somewhere safe.

With the attitudes openly expressed on here, and society in general, are you surprised?

Most of my cycling is off road.

Some drivers seem to get angry at the mere existence of a cyclist and drive what appears to be deliberately dangerously.

Most cyclist's (who aren't kids), also drive.

I'd cycle more on roads it if felt safer and there were more cycle lanes.
