Yes but typically just to keep track of names or kik usernames etc. I don't put any detail of meets or similar.
If I have no future interest I will block. Same with people who I see on the updates or forum, I'll block to avoid seeing future posts on the updates feed. Can't stop the forum but it's a good enough way to filter likes/dislikes. |

I do. It’s handy when someone messages my couples profile and I recognise the name so can come look on here and remember why I blocked them or whatever.
I’ve also found it handy to keep a note when someone chats good chat, then goes quiet when actual meets are suggested. Then they reappear months later with the same chat. Saves me wasting my time with folks that do it repeatedly (because sometimes it’s just life got in the way, but some folks just do that on repeat). |

I only just learned if it and personally think it’s a little weird to write a diary entry about every person you don’t like and will never meet on a swinging website. Seems a weird use of time
A block is enough for me. The reason is irrelevant |

"Just curious. Does anyone use the private notes option here? "
Absolutely.
Helpful if people change their fan name and you don't recognise it.
I use it for if I've seen their face pic. Any statuses, messages or forum posts which show we wouldn't be compatible |

We make use of the private notes.
Try to use that rather than block.
We find it really useful, leaving notes of things that have caught our attention, be that good or bad. |

"I use it to note that I've contacted that person previously and that they were not interested in me. Reminds me not to message them again."
I think this is the better option over blocking.
People can change, what they want can change.
We were messaged a while back by someone that if we were looking at the time, we could have been interested.
We explained we're not looking right now and will update profile when we are.
Shortly after, found we were blocked.
I imagine they took it as a simple, polite no.
Using the private notes, we could have still contacted them when we were next looking. |

I contemplated using it to gather info on forumites and then run a thread where I made myself out to be a medium and could tell people all about themselves.
But it seemed very stalkerish and extremely time consuming so I've not written a single note.

"I make detailed notes of everything everyone said to see how many times they contradict themselves. "
I am happy to disclose that nothing I say should be trusted and I espouse only bollocks. Saves all that note taking... |

You only get it with the site supporter upgrade and we're far too tight fisted to pay that.
So instead we use a bespoke system of many, many leather bound books in which we write notes on antique Egyptian papyrus using the ink from extremely rare 'colossal squids' and then file them alphabetically by username on fine mahogany shelves in the wood panelled reading room in our stately home.

It’s handy for amusing reasons as well when you get a message from a guy who messages every 7/8 months or so.
The bulk of his message stays exactly the same, but his job changes. In the last couple of years he’s been a pilot, an over-worked doctor during the lockdowns, a barrister and today apparently a very very successful businessman (and has been for 15 years).
If he used the notes to remember what career he’d bullshitted about he might actually get somewhere! |
