Escape from New York Vs Big Trouble in Little China

Both great Kurt Russel action films from the 80s… but which one is better?
The former has the better soundtrack but the latter has the better lines… which wins?
Also, ladies… would you rather have a meet with Snake Plissken or Jack Burton? |

Wow that's a really tough one.
Both equally cheesy and equally brilliant.
I'm going to go for big trouble in little China.
Based purely on the awful escape from New York sequel that was just terrible.

"I rewatched BTILC last week,
Would definitely give Jack Burton a go "
Just remember what ol’ Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake.
Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol’ storm right square in the eye and he says, “Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it... |

Escape From New York.
For three reasons...
Adrienne Barbeau, Lee Van Cleef and the fact that it's a much better film.
Which reminds me - I need to stick my poster of Adrienne Barbeau back on the fridge again. |

I've been thinking of Big Trouble in Little China a lot this month. I saw the lady who played Miao Yin turned 60 last month and mentioned it to my husband, only to be shocked to find he'd never seen the film. I can't find it on any streaming site we have so been looking to buy the dvd. I can't remember much swearing in it so think we can watch with the kids
Oh, and in answer to the question I love both films. But I think BTILC just edges it as it's funnier |
