I was thinking very early this morning about why women wear heels. I wear them because I think they're sexy and I prefer the way I look in them.
But who's crazy idea was it to invent them? Does anyone know? |

WIKI : Most of the lower class in ancient Egypt walked barefoot, but figures on murals dating from 3500 B.C. depict an early version of shoes worn mostly by the higher classes. These were leather pieces held together with lacing that was often arranged to look like the ankh symbol, which represents life. High heels are great tools, especially in the modeling industry. There are also some depictions of both upper-class males and females wearing heels, probably for ceremonial purposes. Egyptian butchers also wore heels, to help them walk above the blood of dead beasts. In ancient Greece and Rome, platform sandals called kothorni, later known as buskins in the Renaissance, were shoes with high wood or cork soles that were popular particularly among actors who would wear shoes of different heights to indicate varying social status or importance of characters. In ancient Rome, the sex trade was legal, and female prostitutes were readily identified by their high heels. |

I can't walk in them anymore but they are so pretty and my ankles look great when I wear them. Sinning and dining. I need to do more of both so that I have a reason for more shoes.
As to invention... probably a man in order to hobble us. Although men used to wear heels (see V&A exhibits) and clogs have been around for a long time. |

I prefer wearing them, I think because I wear them lots I'm used to them and therefore I find them comfortable. When I first starting wearing them they hurt like hell and weren't high ones lol! xx

I'm 5ft 1 and have worn heels since I was about 14 years old.
Struggle to walk in flats and the last time I wore some completely flats for a walk in the woods about 6 months ago finished up with huge blisters on my heels, threw the damn shoes away. |

I am 6ft and don't wear them... I have a pair of wedges that I wear if I am going on a nightout.... I live in flats though..
I can't walk in heels and seem to fall over and twist something when I do.. |

I love wearing my "slut" shoes and have actually worn my open toed ones (with the bow) to work today!!

I like the look of my legs in high heels as it makes them look longer and more shapely. But don't wear them all the time as I find them uncomfortable. |

I've got shoes in boxes that I've never even put on my feet yet :D
When I got pregnant I had to buy flats and my legs killed me.
I was told its because my legs are used to heels and I would have to stretch the muscles to walk comfortably in flats

I love high heels and I've got lots of pairs. There are photos of a few of my more recent purchases in my gallery. I haven't had a chance to wear any of those yet.
I have several other pairs I've not worn yet.
I need to go out more, and play more.
For day-to-day wear I tend to stick to jeans and trainers. |

I love wearing heels too ........ love they way they change how you walk, and your bodies appearance, have lots of different height heels, and have a few pairs of lying down heels tooo ......... now they do look good adorned around a guy lol |

They also deffo do things for guys too ........ went out for dinner with a whole bunch of people for someone's birthday and I wore white trousers and a white top and bright pink cum fuck me heels, and the guys all made complimentary comments about my shoes ...... |

I got my daughter her first pair of 'grown up' shoes just this year. She is 30. Couldn't walk in them at first (they were 4 inch heels) but now hardly ever goes out without them.
And since she is 5"11' she ends up over 6ft tall! |

never wore heels much growing up and iv always been quite short - but with some heels on - im closer to hubby who is 6ft tall lol and my legs look great
.
prefer the heels with the small platform under the toes tho.. they seem so much easier than heels where the shoes have thin soles - and you can feel every bump in the path lol.. |

The idea to have heels was so your feet didn't slip out of the stirrups when horse riding,dating back many years,I know because I was there,and yes I still wear heels at times. |

I have 50+ pairs, all colours and styles, some I have been taken in, most I have not. High heels sculpt the legs and force a ladies ass higher and to become more pert, it also pushes her pussy backwards slightly and makes rear entry easier if stood up and been taken from behind , they also make a ladies walk more of a wiggle again more making her more appealing to men so guess they were designed by men, from a male perspective you cannot help looking at a woman's legs if she is wearing heels and you always wonder if the nylon she is wearing are stockings.
An ex of mine once said to get a guy is easy, "just wear a pair of kills heels and you can get anything you want".
I am so glad you "real" ladies also suffer the same discomfort as Katie does as I thought it was just me but as you all say the discomfort is worth the feeling and the attention high heels bring from horny guys |

I agree they make my legs look better, I walk more sexy in them, I feel sexy too just unfortunately they do hurt me and I am scared of falling downstairs in the really high ones |
