My freelander j got given was one of my most reliable vehicles I ever owned. Never had a problem with it pretty much was a comfy tank , was quite sad when my folks treated me to a new car and I had to sell it ..

Market Harborough / Kettering

I had one of the second generation Discoverys (think they called it a 300 series?) I did 137000 miles in it, thrashed it, loaded it up with all sorts of shite, towed big trailers and spent loads of time off road and it never missed a beat !!

The 300 is a cracking motor. The rest are generally terrible.

I think every first model of every Land Rover/ Range Rover is utter shite. Then they tweak and refine the until they are just awful. Yet, they are still desirable..

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

When I was at Boarding School, on a Monday afternoon we had either Scouts or the CCF, I joined the latter. There was an ex Army Mk II there which had a cracked chassis and was donated by the Army for us to mess about with. During the Autumn term we stripped it down to every last nut & bolt, including the engine. During the Spring term we rebuilt it, then spent all Summer term driving it round the School grounds, I was only 15 when i learned to drive in that, and it was much more fun than learning how to tie knots and say Dib Dib Dib

Mine shat its brains out and went to the big Landy graveyard in the sky. As much fun as it was, I don't think I'd trust another.

I think you just wanted to wax lyrical about the Land Rover you have for a short time
