It makes absolute sense, doesn't it? What did you expect them to do? |

It's money saving ,Tom.
They need to send customs officers to the station when us British arrive and they have other routes that need the money more.
People will have to get a connecting train like we have to to get to Scotland. |

Tbf given that places in Europe are turning off all non essential lights, I can see that park like many having problems anyway over the next year. Changing trains may be the least of the worries... |

"They wanted us out no doubt "
I'm pretty sure they begged us to stay.
And they asked us to consider the implications for future generations.
And now those implications are being realised Brits will whinge. |

I always heard it as "garlic cheese eating surrender monkeys" but the people I used to work with were pretty immature...
On the other hand, wasn't this a line from Blackadder?

Nothing to do with the French…
As I posted in the politics forum on here a few days ago….
Do try to keep up with the news….
“The latest casualty of Brexit is the direct “Disneyland Express” from the UK to the Magic Kingdom, east of Paris.
For the past 26 years – with a brief interruption for Covid – Eurostar has been running high-speed trains from London to Disneyland Paris.
The Channel Tunnel train operator will abandon the route from 6 June 2023. Eurostar blames difficult economic circumstances plus the logistical implications of Brexit and said it was concentrating on the core cities it serves in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
This appears to be another example of the fallout from Brexit.
Good to see this is a gift that keeps on giving…..” |
