Those with a She-Hulk fetish should look around for the porno version starring former WWE champion Chyna. She's still very much feminine, in spite of all the muscles, a factor which isn't a guarantee with the female bodybuilding crowd. |

Ah man, that brings back memories. She was an icon in my book. I still remember the shoot she did for playboy, wow, she looked absolutely stunning. It's a shame she didn't get the recognition she deserved but that's wrestling politics for you |

"It’s nice to read so many positive comments for women with muscle here . Know it’s not for everyone but seems lot like it here xx "
I think it's a hard one for people to admit liking. Personally, I wouldn't want to say I'd like a woman to have toned muscles, low-ish body fat with a gym body if I struggle to maintain that myself. It feels a bit hypocritical. |

"Yes love the look. I prefer toned to muscular but I Still enjoy that. A toned or muscular ebony woman who can throw me around or physically dominate me is fantastic "
Can you explain the difference between 'toned' and 'muscular'?
Because there isn't one, the muscle is either smaller or larger relatively speaking.
Talk of 'toning' is BS. |

Personally I'd used toned to describe the sort of body shape you gain from being physically active more so than a specific effort to develop muscle via strength training.
I'm sure others have different ideas, including yours. |

My point isn't 'ideas', its facts.
Lets tackle the misnomer of "tone". The firming-up or toning is due to an increase in muscle tissue as well as a low enough bodyfat percentage to see the definition and shape of the muscles.
Muscles do not go from soft to hard or hard to soft—they either shrink or grow in size. Muscles themselves do not "firm-up" or "tone".
To re-define your shape, you engage in strength training as well as shed the layer of fat covering your muscles.
Back to my original point, toning is BS. |

Muscular is like bodybuilders body. Toned is not as muscular as that for me. Strong but without the massive frame. A bit like the wwe divas. Others might have a different definition. |

I can see her point however aggressive it seems. It's very different describing a particular body that you are talking about without pictures and pointing at it. It seems that you understood what I meant so it wasn't a terrible explanation. |

"How is it hard to understand the difference between toned and muscular .. ??? "
It isn't. I think the argument she's trying to have is you can't train to be 'toned' (even though any PT probably gets that request every week and would know exactly what you meant). But because Bodybuilding Monthly ran an article arguing there's no such thing as 'toning' we're apparently not allowed to describe a toned body as, um, toned.
What should we call it incidentally? Smaller muscled? |

You just seem to want to pick a fight. If you'd care to explain... Or not... But the words people choose to use to describe physique aren't that complicated and don't need logic. |

I do challenge that idea.
Why is just aesthetics a goal?
How about being strong and healthy?
Women are lambasted about their bodies from all sides of society.
Why is being thin or beautiful a goal ? |

* rummages in pockets, finds 2p, chucks it in as it’s got the queens head on… *
Toning is perhaps not just about how much muscle mass you have, and whether an individual muscle is big or small or ‘toned’, but your bodies overall balance of muscle/fat ratio.
You can have two bodies with identical muscle mass, but different muscle definition and ergo body tone if one of them has been on the pies.
Though why it’s so imperative to be pedantic about it is another thing, pretty sure we all know what a toned body is compared to a muscly one, let’s face it. |

I try not to lift too heavy though as I’m prone to bulking up too much. |

Early on into our relationship Mrs Misfit carried all 17 Stone of me on her back across a playing field, though the club house door and dropped me off right at the bar with ease. I've always wanted a woman who can carry her fair share of the beer without complaint. I was impressed and I knew from that point she was the one I would keep.
