I am having a cruise alone for a holiday and can’t wait . Nice big liner / restaurants / gyms / pools / dinner events / balls / excursions at stop offs. Think it will be fabulous as lots of singles go on cruises si should be golden to chat with people.
Plus think a cruise ship is about as safe as you can get alone . |

My first ever trip abroad was on my own, I went to Lorrett de mar in Spain. And I was fine. Mind you that was about 25 years ago.
I’ve also been to France snowboarding on my own a couple of times
I’d say if you stick to any of the main resorts you’ll be fine. You could always go to a nice all inclusive, and then you don’t even need to leave the hotel if you don’t feel safe |

OP, I've often travelled alone & find it rather liberating. Plus, you always end up making the odd connection with folk.
Is there a particular reason why you want to go to Spain? If not, try Malta. Absolutely fantastic for solo females. The bus service is excellent for getting around & I felt totally safe at all times.
The only con is that it costs more to travel solo.
Good luck OP. Xx |

Just to add I go to Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote quite often, I find it nicely laid back but there’s also plenty going on if you want it.
I particularly like the old town by the harbour, you’d be absolutely fine there, feel free to ask if you want any apartment recommendations |

My favourite solo trip was to Reykjavik. So nice, no-one bothered me. And I got a spot on a few trips last minute, and cheap, when they had spaces last minute.
Barcelona was also good - so much to do and has both city and beach. |

I’m doing my first solo trip beginning of sept in th UK but wanted the experience of a solo holiday in the uk before I pluck up the courage to venture abroad. I have been to Barcelona previously but never alone and I’d love to go back there. |

I went to Majorca by my self, I hired a road bycle from a bike shop there before I left and they delivered it to my Air B&B when I arrived.
Then island is great to cycle around and I met and chatted to other cyclists.

Been traveling alone for years now. Much prefer it and you get to meet/chat to far more people when you're alone.
Just use common sense when you're out and about and have a great time |

I back packed around New Zealand aged 33, trust me it was really easy and great fun, get one of the backpacker buses and stay in hostels you'll meet people and be fine, easier because it's English speaking but even so a bit of research and you'll be good to go |

I was definitely not alone on my solo trip. I have a bunch of new friends from across the world and we're all still WhatsApp-ing and chatting in Spanish. I will have friends in several cities of the world, if I visit! |

"Hi iam wanting a break away but never traveled alone before iam thinking of Spain as anyone got any ideas on places to go somewhere safe not middle no where x"
I've been many times on my own, off again next week (: I recommend Majorca. Easy to figure out the airport, transfers, taxis etc. Nice resorts, relaxed vibe. You don't stick out like a sore thumb if you're on your own. Just be as wary of people as you would be on your own here in the UK |

I've been to Turkey several times on my own and loved. I'm a sun worshipper so it suited me to lay beside the pool with my book. I had no unwanted attention. Made some friends to sit with for drinks in the evening too... I thoroughly enjoyed the experience |

Andalusia is very nice and the places I went to were great.
If you are moving about try the trains, they are not like ours and you get allocated a seat.
Hotels are probably the best places to stay, I feel safe in them.
Free walking tours are great for meeting other solo travellers. |

Some of the best holidays I have had have been alone . There is far less stigma attached to it nowadays.
I also find, as a solo traveller, I make more effort to interact with others, than if I was with travelling with someone.

I went away on my own to Greece this year. Never been away on my own before. I booked a package deal with TUI for an easy life so it was all taken care of for me regards accom, flights, transfers. I booked a few excursions before I went too. Had an amazing time, can’t wait to go away on my own again. So nice to be able to go where you want, do what you want when you want and not have anyone else’s needs to take into consideration or anyone else to entertain. Go for it. I chose Greece as I’ve been there a few times already with family and it’s such a friendly place. As a female solo traveller I felt very safe. |

Often safer in the middle of nowhere than the bloody cities!!
I went to southern Sicily and I think all the locals knew where I was at all times. Probably because I'm a big black lady hard to miss. lol! They really did look after me...both times..... I've travelled alone more times than I've travelled with people. |

Portugal , Spain or Italy any of these countries are relatively easy adapt as most people speaks well English, people are very welcome to foreigners, they have great hospitality, the cultural side of each of this countries so vast and at same time connected to each , they have amazing places to visit and if you into medieval history defenitly you couldn't choose better places. They are very safe countries Portugal in this case appointed as obe of the safest countries in the world. The food doesn't really needs comments as we all know how Mediterranean kitchen good is . They have great social live great atmosphere, they are lay down countries, people are kind and always helpful and infrastructures are at same level as UK. To end the weather , the weather is great such as beer and beaches and full of really beautiful landscapes |

I travel by myself for holidays, mainly the canary islands as warm all year round and later parts of the year are a good price.
Heading to Las Palmas in gran canaria in a month and lanzarote in Feb.
It can be a bit scary on your own but I take the chance to book luxury apartments and enjoy the relaxing chill time... got a nice penthouse for Las Palmas. I just research the hell out of it to feel comfortable and plan everything out. |

Well done. I went to Skiathos on my own first time lone travelling this year. Was so nice to be able to do everything on my terms with nobody else to consider. I didn’t feel lonely at all, I made conversation with people when I felt like it or if they chatted to me, but i like my own company anyway. |

I've been to Australia and New Zealand on my own, which I liked a lot.
I've been to cities like Amsterdam on my own, which I haven't enjoyed that much..some places are probably suited to travelling with friends more.
In the middle of nowhere on my own sounds like bliss for me though ..I'd like to travel through the Canadian wilderness alone, something I've thought about for ages.. |

I’ve been going away on my own for years, I don’t think I’d have it any other way now!
I have to say the place I’ve been going back to for the last 8 years (before the lockdowns that is) was the Dalaman province of Turkey - Stunning! OluDeniz is really nice, you can stay up in the hills a little to get the view of the beautiful turquoise sea, boat trips take you to 12 islands where there are turtles, dolphins and other sea life, Butterfly Island etc.
the joy is that it’s not in the Euro and Lira exchange rates are excellent!
You can usually get 10 nights with flights and transfers for less than £500
Many parts on the Mediterranean side of Turkey are stunning |
