Mine fucking loves to talk and show me things and I can never shut her up
But apparently some people don't hear - or even visualise - their thoughts. This is called aphantasia and I'm not gonna lie that sounds fucking wild to me. Imagine having a quiet mind.
If you are one of these people who doesn't hear or see their thoughts, what medium(s) do you think in? |

Inner monologue? All the time and it can be tiring.
A friends daughter was recently discovered to be dyslexic and one of the pointers was that when she reads a novel, she has no pictures in her head in relation to the story. Pictures with the story help but ordinarily it's just words |

My understanding of Aphantasia is that it refers to not seeing mental images (which I pretty much don’t have), and doesn’t suggest the lack of a inner monologue, (which I have constantly). |

From what I read, the lack of visualisation goes hand in hand with lack of audio. Ie "lack of fantasy" |
