It was heartbreaking, and still hurts sometimes tbh, but am moving on - 6 months down the line and having fun, meeting new friends (!) and generally getting on with it.

The final hurdle will be getting the house sold, and then getting the bit of paper that says I am 'fully' single again. (Although I am single now, just not 'legally' speaking - no turning back)

Breakup of my marriage really hit me hard, mostly because I didn't see it coming. Looking back, it was probably the best thing to have happened, I never realised how much I was being used, not even when friends and family pointed it out. Sometimes it is hard, but hang in there, having good friends around you always helps.

As you grow older you learn that the feeling you describe lies somewhere between self pity and insecurity.... you'll forgive me in the future even if you hate me for saying it now. Missing someone really isn't love xxxx trust me.

i went to the match where we got beat 2v4 back home to find the house empty i went to bedroom draws empty went down stairs sat in my seat in total shock ,,, couldnt believe it we were 2 nil up at half time
