I usually just get hypersensitive skin and no rash which tbh is worse depending on what's affected. Soles of feet or back of legs seems to be a favourite

I had a nasty dose of shingles on my lower back, upon my eventual recovery it appears that as I was over 70yr old I could have a vaccination to prevent me getting shingles again, needless to say I took up the offer.

Might be worth talking to your GP about the Vaccine and whether there is a possibility of getting it on the NHS or maybe going private.
