I've been interested in this for years...I've concluded, artificial life is just going to be a natural progression of humanity...and actually would be the best way to survive when stars die etc.Whether we transfer ourselves to machines or machines think for themselves(that brings a whole new dimension to 'life')...yeah its all science fiction...but so where cars and space travel...

Honda have a robot called Asimo...really clever thing. I always refer to it as 'him' but I've been told it has a female voice so it sounds less threatening. Think I'd still be freaked out if I came face to face with it though! Random but kind of ties in

yeah its very cool...the basic fact is within this century there WILL be robots around...and yes...lots of jobs for humans will go

Hav'nt robots already replaced humans in jobs? the car industry for example

We have 4 robots at work,they're amazing to watch....until something goes wrong and then its carnage

YUP thats true...but when we are talking about robots with reasoning skills and an advanced intelligence, there will be a more visible presence
