Regular sex is good for a person's health....

A new study has suggested that making love twice a week is as important for a person's health as quitting smoking or cutting down on alcohol consumption and lowers the risk of suffering a heart attack.

Geoffrey Hackett, a professor of men's health at Aston University in Birmingham, said: "We estimate that 20 minutes of sexual activity in a man is the equivalent of walking a mile, and that's a reasonable amount of physical effort if you do it often enough.

"I'd suggest men and women aim for some kind of sexual activity twice a week."

Professor Hackett has argued that doctors should be telling patients more about sexual activity and claims that prescribing it could save lives.

He explained: "Sexual activity is something we rarely discuss, yet knowing if a man has regular erections tells me an awful lot about his health.

Do wanks count......

Getting regular sex is the challange! As a long term single (10 years + ) i feel that im missing out on my sex life but there is nothing i can do about it. Due to the timewasters on here meets are very far between and finding a girlfriend ( to enjoy regular sex life with ) is really hard nowadays. If your lucky enough to enjoy a sex life then cherish it because some will never know how hard it is living without one.

Thank you. Im not ashamed to admit that it does get to me sometimes and really hurts, more for the fact that im missing out on a sex life in my best years. Im nearly 40 and havent had a sex life since my 20's and life is moveing on and thats what hurts. Its really hard being single nowadays and finding someone is really hard when no one wants to get to know someone.

Medical practitioners have this one assessed correctly! Although I wouldn't say a mile is far enough, we like the idea of a marathon!

Birmingham

Anyone near Birmingham want to reduce the risk of heat attacks together?

Got to be worth asking...
