.....that you only have to be away from the computer a short time - you come back one thread has suddenly reached over 100 posts.
You click on said post and read qucilky through - only to find that IF you reply - that the fact it took you 25mins to read that bastard thing in the first place means that by the time YOUR reply goes in - its 25 posts out of date!!! 
Then it takes another 5 mins to catch up on htem posts - in the mean time- all the other threads are running away with themselves!!!
