What’s your most expensive purchase lately?

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

I’m not making this thread to flex financial muscles etc. It’s just interesting to hear what people consider worth spending a lot of money on.

Yesterday I bought some spirit markers that I have been putting off getting for ages as they are £489 for 72 pens.

Bloody artists materials are so expensive.

What have you recently paid over the odds for?

I bought a secondhand Qashqai in May. 4 days later the clutch cable broke and the next day a recovery truck came to take it back to garage for warranty work.

Whilst being winched onto the truck, it broke away and ran into my house, crushing me against the wall, breaking my leg and writing off the car.

I didn’t even have it a week !!

"I went to Specsavers £269 later I got some glasses

I would have been surprised if you got a fridge there

It might have been a hearing aid "

True that another time where I missed the opportunity to thoroughly think about my joke before making it !

Around two months ago I discovered French soap and I’ve spent nearly £200 since yikes. Well at least my body and hands are thanking me for the luxury lol.

Have a look on EBay- lots of small soap producers that make soap by hand. I usually buy Olive Oil soap and Goats Milk ones as I have allergies and a sensitive skin.
