There is one girl who I have been talking to for many years but something just happens when I see her, I change from an articulate, confident, grown adult to a whittering, hormonal teenager in the space of seconds.
I can't even just blame it on lust because I have been her wingman for years too and seen every part.
Is it just me or are there others out there who are affected in the same way?
What is the magic spell??? |

Not currently but many years ago a male friend of our daughter I hadn't met before came round. I was turned into a grinning loon when I answered the door to him, he was beautiful.
Oddly our daughter told me later he was horribly insecure about his looks |

"Yup, a certain barmaid of the pub that I frequent
Is it just her ample charms or something about how she talks to you/looks at you that makes you incoherent?"
Specifically, it's because my anxiety kicks when ever she is in close proximity |

I'm normally quite outspoken and don't shut up but recently I did met my match when I went on a date with a lady I've been chatting to on Tinder. She looked nothing like her pictures, in fact she was more stunning in person than her pics did her justice and her accent, intelligence, charisma just swept me off my feet. Instantly I was transported to that time I was a teenager and the most popular girl in school talks to you, I became a bumbling idiot. Dont think we will be going on a second date though |

Not just blokes who are affected then!
Regardless of how many times I pull myself up and tell myself off, the next time is right back to it again

Oh that effect! It's such a beautiful thing isn't it? I love it. If someone stumbles over their words, even more so if they're normally very talkative, I get an odd rush of "yay me".
I very rarely get that, there's a particular look that always makes me stumble and forget how to speak like a human so I tend to erm my way through it. |

The sheer power to capture someone mentally like that is awesome. This has been the case for years. On text and the phone I am my normal self but in her presence.... I might as well stick two pencils up my nose, underpants on my head and say "wibble" |

"There were two men on here I could never have a proper conversation with as they made me feel shy and tongue tied.
Silly really, but hey ho."
It is really silly but at the same time reminds you how alive you are in a humbling way because you are out of control (also really really annoying) |

"Yeah, a friends ex husband. I think he is gorgeous and feel like a teenager every time I see him. This is so unlike me."
That's exactly what I am talking about! Completely out of character behaviour! |

Yep
The bitch is called Stella
1 moment I stood chatting with mates in the pub
Then all of a sudden I start slurring my words room starts spinning I fall over
Then forget everything until I wake up next morning
Takes good few hours to get over the after effects of Stella too |

Tend to be a bit of a gabbler if I like someone and can become even more impenetrably verbose than normal.
I've never particularly noticed if I've had that effect on a woman but, one day, I'd like to meet one who looks at me the way the ladies of Fab look at cake. |

"Blond men seem to have that effect on me. Weirdly. They make me tongue tied.
Why do you say weirdly? Is it because you are usually attracted to the conventionally tall, dark, handsome ones?"
Um, no. It just seems weird that men with a specific hair colour make me tongue tied! Means I've never slept with a blond guy. |

Maybe that's what prevents women expressing an interest in me despite finding me irresistibly attractive |

Do they go bright red in your presence? |

Only if I inadvertently say something hilariously inappropriate |

Yes me, when ever I pick up the phone at work!
I just mutter and splutter and all knowledge disappears from my brain ! |
