Seen them in the shops! Personally I love Halloween, always have and I like that more houses are putting decorations up like Christmas.
But what about everyone else. Too Americanised? |

Every year I want to do an elaborate set up outside of the house. You know the kind of thing, lights, dry ice etc. I always leave it too late though. Maybe I'll take this thread as a reminder and get ordering some stuff |

"Personally I don’t like that Halloween is now seen as more important than Bonfire Night. Bonfire Night is part of our history! "
How about we all hang a fake body outside for Halloween then burn it it on the 5th of November? |

We turn our complete rear garden into a scream fest with smoke machines, laser effects, back screen projection of ghosts in windows, animatronics & lots of gravestones spooky lighting ,floating candles , and sound effects with a dragon head that breaths lit up redsmoke oh and a large mediaeval tent with Harry Potter themed smoking bubbling cauldron and potions and a huge spider with webs…… and scare all the neighbours kids and adults as them gingerly walk through lol |

I go a bit OTT with our windows because my bambino’s enjoy it. Bonfire Night is a no go in our house as my youngest has sensory issues and doesn’t like the noise, so Halloween and Christmas are our main events.

Oh I adore it. All the autumnal foliage and pumpkins and cute spooky things. And the candles. Normally an associate sends me some of their brilliant work, like floating candles last year. |

Trouble is all the dog owners take the fun out of bonfire night saying fireworks should be banned etc. |

I decorate my kids love it. Have a big spider web that hangs from the upper floor into the front garden. We then decorate the inside of the house. And then we have a Halloween/ guy burning/ uncles and one of the kids birthday parties.
We love it plus all the decorations go it the attic so are used each year. |

I love it!!! Whole front garden is decorated for a week...giant spider....giant web coming from the house...coffin lid with skeleton hands creeping out the sides...giant head stone...loads of stuff. Add something every year and we get dressed up too to answer the door, usually the grim reaper. Great fun and the kids do selfies with the stuff . |

I love it! It's fun. I love getting dressed up, decorating, baking Halloween goodies, listening to spooky music. Now I've got a little one it's even more enjoyable when the time comes around.
I think life is so short, and nothing much exciting happens anyway when you're a basic bitch like me. So it's lovely to turn a bit spooky for a week or so. It's a good excuse for stuffing my face with sweets. |

Same. Me and my son have a pumpkin each we carve. I want to try pumpkin pie but I don't want to commit yo baking a full one, then discovering I don't like it. |

Oddly enough we go all out for halloween but I never put anything up outside for christmas
I usually get the kids to make decorations and then I stick them up in the window.
I clingfilmed my daughters legs one year, then covered them in clear tape, cut her legs out of them and stood them in the window with lights inside, it sounds rubbish but they honestly looked pretty cool in ny opinion. They looked like ghostly witch legs. |

Like anything else, the excess and the overdoing it quite often spoils it for everyone. Fireworks is a genuine problem that is not getting addressed as is the hoards( and I mean hoards) of kids knocking on your door for hours. It can be intimidating having 20/30 kids at your door at the same time. I do like some of the decorations you can get these days but nothing over the top. |
