Do you have any ibuprofen?

If you have and can take it do so, its not perfect but may take the inflammation down which is pressing on the nerve.

Incessant pain of any sort sucks and toothache is particularly bad.

You can take ibuprofen and paracetamol (or cocodamol) together. Alternate them so you're taking painkillers every 2-3 hours.

Clove oil is supposed to be good for toothache too.

If it's bad enough to go out to get pain meds for, there should be a pharmacy in the area open 24hrs. They usually do this on a rota. The local paper should have details about which one will be open.

NHS direct can probably advise on whether you can take the codine.

I've just noticed I can't spell codeine.

It may be time for some sleep.

No nothing worse. Been suffering on and off for over a week now. Booked in with dentist but trying to get an earlier appointment.

I have found that keeping my pain medication levelled out and using clove oil is helping.

You may not get wisdom teeth. Some people don't have any. I don't.

It's not that they've not erupted, they just aren't there.

I had a root canal a few months ago. It was fairly simple and I needed painkillers for one day afterwards. No big deal at all.

Don't wedge any tablets ESP aspirin against the tooth u can give urself a chemical burn on ur gum and that's real nasty! Take pain killers often and regular! Paracetamol works best when u keep taking them upto max dose in 24 hrs! And then take the ibuprofen in between to keep topped up! Hope u find a dentist real soon

co codamol or any codeine based med are the only pain killers that work on teeth. If its a back tooth try brushing the gum very hard till it bleeds. clove oil is a bit nasty but also works

My farther used to drink whiskey then Pull his own out. Used to be in bed and hear him pulling out.

But there's nothing like get up and it's dark and you walk past the door to and kick it. Wakes you up straight away with a few xrated phrases to go with it. Even better when someone else's does it.

Yes something far worse than a toothache..

Just close your eyes and invisage a man on his moutain bike pumping really hard to get up a wet slippy hill and his foot slip out of pedal grips and he falls from hieght of 2 feet onto cross bar whilst pushing down hard...now thats pain

Biting down hard on one's tongue to stop posting a wisecrack about Tiger Feet's lack of wisdom teeth being due to lack of wisdom is quite painful

Gotta say toothache is bad, but for me nothing compares to the sheer misery of a fecking water infection...also a real bad one can majorly mess up your mind too

Don't take aspirin IF it's bleeding around the tooth, as it thins the blood and won't aid healing. Other painkillers better

Toothache is not fun...think it's because it affects your ears too. Hope you got to the dentist and got it sorted x
