Just a bit of fun, what meant one thing to you as a child and now means something completely different?

I'll start with Snap, Crackle and Pop.

As a child, a magical breakfast cereal full of wonder.

As an adult, the noise my body makes when I stand up...

What else do you expect when they are almost universally based on medieval european fairy tails?

Well yes but as a child you don’t know this I guess it’s a bit like life in general. All magical and rose tinted specs as a child and when you grow up it’s a big disappointment and not what you thought it would be.

As a child I thought the lyrics were ‘hotdog jumping frog, I want cookie’ as an adult I know it’s ‘Albuquerque’. Think my childhood lyrics were better

As a child, if I was hit by a car it was my fault for being in the road. As an adult, if I hit a child it's still my fault!

The film Grease. As a child it was just a nice happy film with songs to sing along to. As an adult I was shocked to discover it was all about sex

Watching pop stars of the time on Saturday morning TV. Now understand I was witnessing the promotional media machine at work.

Only Fools and Horses

Back then family friendly fun.

Now.... Well a statement on what we found acceptable to call and act around people of different race, sexual preference and male/female roles in relationships/society.

But still watch it.

As a child Wagon Wheels were huge and as an adult, though it may seem like they've shrunk, they actually have too!

As a child I loved willy wonka and would sing the oompa loompa song as I came down the stairs. Nowadays I find it very cringey
