"Old people driving . No one north of 60 should drive
I honestly believe that men shouldn't be allowed to drive full stop. "
You can’t say that in this day and age! That’s ‘genderist’!
Now go get me a sandwich and make it snappy |

Sitting at traffic lights or junctions and leaving their feet on the brake pedal. Some of those new fancy brake lights burn the retinas from your eyes.
Put the fucking handbrake on, that’s what it’s there for! |

"For me, it’s 2nd lane hoggers on the Motorway. How about you?"
100% this.
Astounds me the amount of people who don't know how to drive on the motorway.
My boss drove me on a 5 hours journey, stayed in the middle lane where possible regardless of overtaking people or not. |

Middle lane drivers (illegal) which is about 50% of motorway users including many reading this now! WHY???, drivers who sit in the fast lane of dual carriageway because theres a lorry in the slow lane 3 miles ahead, drivers who don't use their mirrors, fog light users, drivers who don't apply the basics of driving-mirror, signal, maneuver, drivers who race up to roundabouts & junctions with no intention of stopping or giving way. Apart from that everyone is fantastic !! |

Its the limit but clearly wrong the majority of the time |

No blues and twos just sitting in lane 2 0f 4. Often see them doing it.

I disagree, my dad was a professional driver and a biker and could run rings round folk half his age on his fireblade at 64. And in a car for that matter. He passed away from lung cancer fairly suddenly 2 years ago.
There are a multitude of things that other drivers do that wind me up but hogging the middle lane is up near the top. And blocking junctions/roundabouts in traffic. Oh, and coming flying up behind you on the motorway then when you move to let them past they pass you at 1mph faster than you were travelling and you then have to slow down because there’s a lorry in your lane and you can’t get back out because of said twat passing you at 1mph…..if that makes any sense |

I think everyone should have a compulsory site test every 5 years and complete an assessment every 5 years once they reach 70 ! I'm convinced that many drivers simply can't see properly. You do a site test on your test and that's it! Ridiculous!! |

Most of those that can see don't look further than the end of their bonnet anyway, and are then caught out when something looms up unexpectedly. |

Will you voluntary surrender your licence when you reach 60?
My sister is 76 years old and drives a Porsche 911 and I mean drives.
In my 64 years of driving I have driven in excess of 1.5 million miles, have had one accident which was my fault and one speeding ticket, have driven pretty well all makes and models of cars, vans and trucks.
I have no plans to give up driving any time soon.

We live where there's a junction coupled with people who not only park right on it but also on the pavement. We know to slow right down entering the road and we're always wary leaving the road because one of the crazies might roar round the corner on the wrong side. That's before we think about the pedestrian who might be in the road because someone has blocked the pavement on a blind bend. |

As someone who drives for a living definitely gotta be people who insist on queuing up on the left lane on a 2-lane merge in turn then getting the hump and blocking the right lane when you try to get past them.

Them that shit theirselves when they see a police car and start doing 10mph and everything by the book.
People that mince around at roundabouts and junctions - get pulled out and get the fuck on with it mind.
People who sit at 70 in the outside lane and not an mph more - Move bitch, get out the way.
People who are scared to go around cyclists because of the “highway code change” - get the fuck on with it for christ sake.
Generally any other road user really

Off the top of my head. |

I also find it weird that people don’t use all the available lanes and then get arsy when they think you are “being cheeky” by using them. They are there to be used as the road moves faster with them. If you don’t believe then read up on the RAC and AA advice about using them. |

People who immediately move into the left lane when they see a sign that says there’s a single grain of sand in the right lane 100 miles ahead. Then roll at their eyes at you first using the right lane. There’s a special place in hell for them. |

not using the full entry lane when joining a motorway or dual carriageway.understand how to merge in turn.
drivers that dont understand national speed limits and stay doing 30mph when theyve entered a 60mph national speed limit zone.
driving instructors that dont teach the person there teaching the above
drivers that constantly brake un neccessarily, ie on a motorway or any road , just take your foot off the accelerator and your speed reduces.
basically read the traffic and the road, its so easy
lorrys are restricted to 58mph , supposed to be proffessional drivers but try and overtake a lorry limited to the same speed.
to many to list really...

oh yeah , and drivers that hear a siren of an emergency vehicle behind them in the distance and slam on the brakes and stop....accelerate and get out there way and then ease off the gas so they can pass when safe. stopping blocks all the traffic behind you... |

I drive for a living every day
And the state of some peoples driving is shocking
I'm not perfect and would never claim to be but there are a hell of a lot of younger drivers who have absolutely no idea what the hell their doing and haven't a clue what's going on around them either
I certainly won't be taking myself off the road in 3 years either.
I used to have an uncle (sadly no longer with us, died at 96)
He had a licence issued when he was in the army that stated he could drive anything with wheels or tracks so long as it didn't fly
And his driving was perfect
One of the best drivers I've ever known and finally gave up and handed his car keys to a lad next door but one saying its not fair him still driving when the yng lad was saving for a car.
He was 92 and helped the lad improve his driving when asked.
Not all older drivers are a danger
(some are) but so are plenty of younger drivers who think they are the best |

Sorry if the above sounds a bit ranty
But in my defence I got up at 1.30 this morning to start work at 3.30 and drive 500 miles (472 to be accurate)
Finished at 2.45 and before heading to the shower I read that all drivers should give up driving at 60
So you can understand why I'm a bit ranty |
