Years ago, when I worked in Outdoor Pursuits a female colleague would sometimes leave me her dirty trekking boots to wash/clean along with my own. I though nothing of it, probably considered it a chore! However, as time, along with her, has moved on, I often think about her boots and wish I’d made more of the opportunity.
