It does generate attention tho. I posted a status for the first time last week and had 14 messages in a day. I don’t think I’d had 14 in total prior to that! So if you’re drumming up attention, a status about the price of fuel or something equally mundane is the way forward |

I mean, and please don’t take this personally, if someone can’t take a bit of light hearted fun poking then maybe the forums aren’t the place for them? If people had been unnecessarily nasty and rude then I absolutely agree with you but as far as I can say only one person was a bit of a dick and Tony himself took it well. We included him by making fun of him
There is a fine line between having a bit of fun and taking things too far though, with the best will in the world people don’t always get it right. It’s all about how you deal with it I guess, if I unintentionally upset or offend someone I’ll be the first to apologise profusely and try to make good but some people just get offended for the sake of being offended |

You see, that’s the point though isn’t it? Is it light hearted fun when lots of people are doing it? It could be, but it might not be. Then to set up another thread to carry on the joke is all a bit unnecessary for me. That’s my view.
I’ve been on the forums a fair while now and I have seen it all and trust me next week someone will be upset about this very thing, or type of thing. That’s the way the forums go |
