Is she really straight?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Ask yourself what kind of porn do I watch.
Is it solo female and lesbian only or does it include men as well?
If so so if you can watch a man come on a woman's face or a woman sucking cock or a woman pegging a man then in your logic you're not straight. |

"I watch gay men having gangbangs. Doesn't mean I'm a gay man though."
To be fair to the OP though that isn’t quite the same thing.
I (Mr) quite enjoy lesbian porn but as a male I can’t be a lesbian. |

Just because she's straight doesn't mean she can't enjoy lesbian porn
Just because she watches lesbian porn doesn't make her bi or gay.
Sexual attraction, desire and impulse are fluid matters.
I'd imagine you don't do the same positions each time you have sex. Just because you don't do doggy one time doesn't mean she's not going to do it again. |

Fair point.
But my point is that you can watch something, even be aroused by it, without wanting the experience.
Else I'd not be fascinated by tentacle porn sometimes. |

“Tentacle porn”
As in those porm anime with aliens?
Of course. Being curious about something and having an open mind is good. Let’s face it, I like a good war movie but don’t want to be a soldier or shoot people.
Question for the OP. Would you like your wife to be bi? |

I'll watch all kinds of porn. But I typically find that lesbian porn depicts females cuming in a way I'm more familiar with that straight porn. Maybe it's something as simple as that. I mean there's a lot of cock in straight porn doesn't mean you're turned on by it. |

Female sexuality is very fluid but I'd say if she says she's straight, take her at face value? If she wanted to engage a woman she likely could but seems not keen on it so better to just ignore it.
I don't watch gay born but I've had a partner question my sexuality several times because I've previously experimented with men, which allowed me to know that I'm not bi or gay but straight. Someone told her and she then would constantly accuse me of it. I don't even care so much about what she was accusing me of, but being called a liar about your sexuality isn't fun. |

Agreed. A one-off or even a couple of dabbles/experiments doesn’t make you anything other than curious. If you keep going back then maybe you (not you, anyone) need to accept (and embrace) you are bi. |

Perhaps she thinks there's something wrong in calling herself bi.
She sounds at least bi curious to me.
I've had my tongue on a pussy and it was ok, but I can’t stand watching women kiss and I wouldn't want to date a woman.
I also have no interest in doing it again; so I list myself as straight, on here.
Ask her if she thinks she's bi curious. |

I don't really hope to get anything out of it to be fair.
And her curiosity isn't a factor on our relationship.
It's just a nice fantasy to watch her with another girl. |

Does it matter or need a label as long as your providing a supportive environment for here to nurture whatever desires she has?
Assuming your OK with her pursuing any bi-curious/bisexual desires she may have? If not naturally I understand how this could be worrying regards your relationship. |

1. You clearly didn’t read my post. Show me where I questioned her choice to identify? Clue: you can’t because I didn’t!
2. I was stating a fact not applying a label. She can label herself a blue alien sex god for all I care. But as she is keen on finding out what it would be like to have sex with someone the same gender as herself, then she would be a blue alien sex god who is bi-curious! |

I don't lust after/want/fancy/look for women here or curious at all. However I have played with and fucked a few women. Sometimes in a party type situation, or something that happened in the moment but never been a ff situation alone. I don't think that makes me bi at all. Just because a meat eater can enjoy a meat free meal dosnt mean they a vegetarian. |

I've found that a lot of porn of things I actually enjoy doing does nothing for me and some porn or things that I'd have no interest in actually doing really turns me on. Arousal is a complex thing and a lot of studies have actually found that women are aroused by watching a wider range of sexual imagery than men. In fact, in the study I read, women were aroused by all the stimulus . They think it's related to the fact that the women living in packs would often be fertile at the same time so we've evolved to want to seek sex when we see others engaging in sexual activity to increase our chances of reproducing too. Or something like that. It was a long time ago I read the research. |

I agree that labels are reductive and actually restrictive because for many people sexuality can be fluid. However, I wasn’t labelling (jeez everyone gets so easily triggered these days).
How would YOU describe someone who has never had sex with a person if the same gender as themselves but wonders what would like and wants to try it out to see? |

I wouldn't describe her as anything. I don't know what's going on in her head, As nothing to do with me.. I'm not telling people who they are, what lable to give them, what their sexual orientation is, how to define themselves. I think it's a big reason alot of people, especially fellas, keep alot hidden. As soon as he has a bit of fun with a fella every one tells them and labels them bi-curious or whatever when fact he not attracted to guys or dosnt even know himself. Maybe it's not even a curiosity but a fantasy. |

2. I was stating a fact not applying a label. She can label herself a blue alien sex god for all I care. But as she is keen on finding out what it would be like to have sex with someone the same gender as herself, then she would be a blue alien sex god who is bi-curious!
That isn't a fact though. There is no fact that tells us if someone watched same sex porn or where to have a same sex experience means they are bi, but you have absolutely just labeled her. You said I makes her bi/curious.
Oh and PS, I didn’t say “bi/curious” I said she was clearly “bi-curious” big difference!
She says she is 100% straight. You said no it clearly made her bi curious. You said it was a fact. Which it isn't. You said you didn't label her which by saying it sounds pretty bi curious to yourself. No you didn't question her to choice to identify, but same time you not letting her decide but telling her.
If I have never eaten pasta before but would like to try some because I wonder what it tastes like then I am curious about pasta.
If I have never had sex with someone of the same gender as me but would like to try it because I wonder what it will be like them I am curious about trying same gender sex acts.
She is curious.
As I asked. How would you describe her intent?
I wouldn't describe her as anything. I don't know what's going on in her head, As nothing to do with me.. I'm not telling people who they are, what lable to give them, what their sexual orientation is, how to define themselves. I think it's a big reason alot of people, especially fellas, keep alot hidden. As soon as he has a bit of fun with a fella every one tells them and labels them bi-curious or whatever when fact he not attracted to guys or dosnt even know himself. Maybe it's not even a curiosity but a fantasy. "
Why the fixation with labels? As I said, she can call/label herself whatever she wants. What I am describing is a behaviour. She is curious about something she has not done. So what is so wrong about saying she is curious? As this thread evolved it was revealed she wants another woman to have oral sex with her. Why? Because she is curious (fantasy or not).
Not really sure what your objection is?
If I was insisting she had to call herself a certain thing and (if she was on Fab) label it as such then yeah sure. But I am not. I am describing a behaviour.
Why is it on your profile you insist men label themselves as bisexual? You do not allow bi-curious and are not interested in men who label themselves straight? Can they not label themselves however they want? (For avoidance of doubt I am not questioning your preferences as that is totally your prerogative, it just seems to contradict the position you are taking in this thread). |
