Holidays… what do you do ?
Jump to: Newest in thread
So it is that time of year where I go for a rather energetic yet vanilla holiday with my son. One where I will need a holiday to recover.
We will be mountain biking, climbing / bouldering, swimming, paddle boarding and coasteering.
What do you do on your vanilla or family fun holidays ? |

I'm retired, and have zero interest in going on foreign holidays anymore.
But there's plenty to see in the UK; am thinking of a 5-7 day coach tour; someone else does the driving, all my meals are cooked & served to me. Laziness - great!!!! |

We love a bit of everything! We’ve done lazy beach holidays & cultural city breaks this year. Going to Italy in a few weeks so we have a couple of days in Venice but relaxing in the beach too
My passion is a ski holiday though! Roll on January |

Latvia was wonderful! Great, friendly people and lots to do! Similar to Budapest in a lot of ways. Really reasonably priced and amazing food. Loved it there |

Not all that North of North London |
Going to Morocco for 2 weeks next month, spending 5 days trekking up Moint Toubkal with an organised group and then a few days in marrakeck before travelling to Essaouira and then Agadir. Its the biggest holiday I've had on over a decade. Recently its been city breaks (often combined with a marathon or a gig) or long weekends in Wales or Cornwall.
I can't sit on a beach, I have to be on the go all the time if I'm away abd do as much as possible |

Ohhhhh I was supposed to have been there last Easter and running Toubkal with my fellow mountain buddy.
Hope you have a great time. You’ll have to report back and let me know if the route is straight forward |

I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to run it! From everything I've seen its not at all technical but it reaches a height where altitude sickness and thin air can both present problems so whilebive git friends thst have done it independently, for me I want the peace of mind of an organised trip! |

We like beach and pool holidays but combined with activities to do, and cultural/historical visits and boat trips. Love a boat trip. I can’t lie in the sun or by a pool all day, needs to be other things to do and my kids are the same. I also don’t like sitting in bars all day or every night either as not a massive drinker and don’t like rowdy crowds. Benidorm would be a holiday nightmare for me. |

We tend to go somewhere Spanish, away from the tourist trail. We might laze by the pool or on the beach some days but others, we'll explore the area (culture, history, countryside etc). It's much harder to have the kind of holiday we really enjoy now that I rely on a wheelchair and it restricts the kind of accommodation etc we have to choose, which is annoying. |
