We are in Devon and its bad, but luckily we not flooded.

We feel sorry for those that are, what a terrible mess and upheaval.

Thank heavens for that

I thought this was yet another gushers and squirters thread !

All OK here - mind you I am two floors up, so if my feet get wet, some people have got REAL problems !

Parts of Leicestershire have had flooding. Luckily I've not been affected so far.

evesham

I think parts of evesham and the surrounding villages are, luckily I live on a hill so am not affected by it.

Evesham always floods. One year I was in Austria when there was floods in evesham. I was due to get a tattoo done the week I came back, was watching the news in Austria and saw the place I was getting done completely flooded!! Up to the ceiling!

We are awaiting the storm here, the rain has started just waiting for the gales now! We live directly opposite the sea! But no flooding here. Really feel for the people that have been affected though

no matter

thankfully I am on higher ground but there is often quite bad flooding about a mile away. Why do councils allow building on the flood plains..so stupid .

There is localised areas of flooding in North Warwickshire at the moment and the EA have issued an amber warning for the Midlands in general. The impact will be overnight and tomorrow morning here when the water run off from fields, etc increases..

Not a good prospect following the current weather predictions.

Sheffield

Don't know what it'll be like till I get home. But if my house is soggy you're all screwed!

I live at the top of Sheffields highest hill.

But at least you know where to set up the refugee camp!

After seeing Sheffield get hit by devastating floods and how long it took to be put right anyone who gets flooded has my sympathy.

I see quite a lot of posters live up a hill.

Has this replaced pampas grass as the internationally recognised 'swinger signal' ?

We are out and about in the midlands today - West then East.

Lots of flooding, very heavy rain, gales on way

We are not flooded and unlikely to however half of our drive was flooded on Wednesday!

Why people live in areas such as flood planes is beyond me.

I spent the day in North Somerset today and the drive back to Bristol was awful. The roads had loads of standing water on them. It didn't help that my sat nav decided to take me cross country and that I went right through a cross junction without stopping and never had right away. I never even saw the cross junction until it was too late I think the car who had right away may have crapped his trousers!! Sorry mate
