OP deleted because of typo:
I'm a bit of a shortarse -- I don't particularly care about this and I've dated women much taller than me before and it's not been an issue.
It can even be quite hot playing against the societal norm.
It's only an issue for me if a woman states that a man has to be taller - if it's an issue for her I leave her alone (or offer to stand on a box )
So, no debate about why women choose what they choose -- that's a choice, and we're all entitled.
But, when browsing profiles, it does seem a lot of women on here -- or at least women who fit into my search categories -- seem way taller than average.
I wonder if this is my imagination, or if women who match my tastes are often tall, or if women really are getting taller generally. |

I’ve noticed more tall women. When I was young it was rare to see another tall lass and I’d get a bit excited because there was someone I could identify with and who would have the same struggles as me.
These days, it’s far more common, even on my School run I see women who are as tall as me, and I live in a Valleys town in the arse end of Wales - imagine if I ventured into the big City! |

I feel like women are getting taller
Apparently the national average is 5 foot 4 or something similar which seems tiny to me
I've been this height since I was a child(I hit puberty really early) so it just feels normal to me until I meet women who are shorter then I like |

"imagine if I ventured into the big City! "
The only time I ever had an issue was when me and a much taller gf were walking through her neighbourhood, and a bunch of kids shouted that "She's taller than him" like it was some kind of novelty they needed to mock.
I just shouted back with "well no shit sherlock, at least I'm getting some" :D

I was just about to ask what the average was. Didn't realise it was that small, seems tiny to me too. I think I know maybe one woman at that height. Most are 5"6+

Mr KC is 6ft 4, I am a touch over 5ft 6 but much smaller sat in my wheelchair. I have perpetual neck ache
Going out with Mr 6ft 7, back in the day, was fairly amusing too! |

I stand 5'9" in my stockinged feet, taller still in heels, and will not go out with any man under six foot tall. Missed a lot of action probably as a result... |

"I think they are getting taller, lots of the girls my son was at school with are all quite tall."
We have to remember that the ONS average heights will include people from all age brackets. Older women will be smaller, on average. If we compared the average height of women, say, over 70 with those under 25, we'd find the under 25s are taller (on average). |

Try being 6ft2 it's no walk in the park. And after years of short guys, I experienced a meet and become a very regular meet with a guy who is 6ft5.iam sorry but height really does matter to me now. Don't feel like a gaint anymore and loads more sexual positions become possible. X |

Height isn't an issue for me.
At 5'6" most men are taller than me but being shorter isn't a deal breaker.
I think the average height of women being around 5' 4" is probably right as I am one of the taller ladies about in my area.
