Although I haven't watched the new series, I would imagine that the idea would be to make this about the new generation....

I thought he didn't look very well in the new series, but as always he played his part as JR with great aplomb. If I remember rightly, I think he cared for his wife who has dementia and did a lot for charity - an all round good guy, RIP |

The best part I saw Larry Hagman play was as an American soldier in the World War 2 based film called The Eagle Has Landed alongside Michael Caine..
His portrayal as the mishapped decision making officer was a true masterpiece in acting.. RIP |

he was one of the more loved people in "I dream of jeanie" to one of the most hated villians in "dallas"... he was an TV icon for a huge stretch of his life.. and he made the roles his own...
