Why do people put that on their profile or in messages?
Professional what? Twat? Knob? Imbocile? I dont get it.
It should be a ta**o word. Anyone attempting to use it should be banned immediately

Sense of self importance I guess? Makes someone feel good about themselves? Or they just get paid for it?? |

I think they're trying to protray a level of culture, class and educational attainment rather than explain their employment status.
Personally I find the term cringy and a bit of a turn off. It's not a total red flag as I like to get to know people and make my own judgments (I've come to like people off here in the past who describe them self as professionals). But it's quite often an indicator that they may not be my sort of person.
But each to their own. People often like to be with like people. |

"Does what you perceive your profession to be have any relevance to your sexual abilities?
No
But it filters out the dumplins
I have a fear of finding out I've shagged one of those"
You shag dumplings? Are they only professional ones? |

I think you are right. What it means is a job requiring professional qualifications or membership above associate member normally like member or chartered but it’s just used as a preference to meet middle class university educated higher earners |
