I was in a shop earlier and noticed the guy behind the counter had Star Wars tattoos on his arm, Bobba Fett & C3PO, very random.
Anyway, ended up chatting to him for 30 mins or so about Star Wars, GoT & LoTR
He surprised me by saying he doesn’t watch any of the spin offs, as it dilutes the original storlines. Are there many like this?
I am quite happy to watch the spin offs, and although they have been to mixed success so far, I feel very lucky as a geek that we have soo many to choose from right now
For example, House of Dragons is about to start soon.
The Targaryen civil war, so lots of infighting, inc**t and f*** loads of dragons - yes please
So in summary, it’s a good time to be a geek |

I’m not a nerd at all but I have 2 nerd tattoos.
To answer your question I don’t usually watch the spin-off of any shows/films. They’re usually disappointing. Off the top of my head I can’t think of any spin off that are as good as it better than the originals. |

"Frasier?
I wouldnt say spin-offs are always disappointing. As I said, mixed success "
I’m too young for Cheers so can’t really comment on that. I probably will watch the GoT spin offs though. The ending was so bad I need to give them a chance to redeem themselves |

"I'm a nerd with nerd tattoos
And also decline spin offs as part of the main saga. Oh and have to watch the saga in chronological order, with subtitles. No exceptions "
You lost me at “with subtitles”, why? |

I loved Frasier and only just started watching Cheers. For an older comedy it holds up surprisingly well |

New Nerd here. Late to the party but staying until the end.
I very much enjoy the spin offs, the Star Wars and Marvel's have been so far for me great. I know some were disappointed with Boba Fett, I thought it was very good. I am looking forward to House of dragons, hopefully it won't be as bad as the end of GOT. Continuity plot and shagging are a requirement.
Lord of rings,I am scarred by the trilogy, which I found dull. The new geek in me may think otherwise. |

I thought Rogue 1 was pretty good. |
