Would be interesting to see how many people do personal development courses, either work-related or for personal skill-building/hobbies etc?

Would be nice to share platforms and resources too. I mainly use Udemy, although I've tried out Coursera and Pluralsight in the past too. YouTube surprisingly has a lot of great material too (although a lot of the tech courses seem to take place in mythical bug-free universes )

I'm perfect as I am, I see no room for improvement.

If I want to know or understand something, I read and research. I usually start at the library or scour book shops for the topics I'm interested in. There's certain websites I know I can rely on the information too.

Personal development in work related topics, or to work on yourself?

I enjoy working on myself, looking at so called soft skills.

I'm massively old school and do it from books. I've found even professional development from the clearance section in Waterstones

Could you start a small library from your book collection?

I refuse to comment on the grounds it might incriminate me. Like a mobster. (Or someone who bathes in spray tan. Beautiful spray tan. And has recently been searched by the rogue democrats)

You can't beat books. My biggest issue is storage space

Recently I started reviewing tech books. The publisher sends you a preview copy which you read and then publicly comment on. Forced me to get my arse in gear to start learning again.

I treat most fiction as hiring entertainment. After I've read it, unless it's particularly meaningful, it goes to a charity shop.

I keep most non fiction but I'm also open to donating it if it doesn't work for me.

Do you get paid for that, or just get to keep the books?

Google has a number of free courses covering a quite a few subjects. Just search Google online courses. Some are basic, but are an entry point to allow you to continue on the learning journey.
