As someone who thinks they’re a pretty awesome cook/baker , is it weird to offer to cook for someone who you’re looking to be FWB with?

Would hearing the potential of that offer be odd in a first message?

Thanks for reading!

Erm, as a opener, bit strong like?

But once you've got to know each other, why not?

I love to cook personally, and I know it's probably the thing to get me over the line or at least keep me in the running once they really get to know me lol.

This Too much for an opener. Save it for when you're actually getting into the "Friends" territory personally.

I've had a few of my regular fwbs in the past cook for me, think that I probably would find it a bit weird in a first message though. Hope this helps you! X

In an opening message....'I would love to come and cook for you'.... wouldn't be what I would expect in a first message. First messages to me with a potential FWB intent would be more, I like you profile, it appears we both seek something similar.......

Others of course may like the individuality of that approach

In the middle

I’ve had several FWB’s cook for me in the past, especially if I was visiting for the weekend, tbh it’s rather nicer than just ordering takeaway

For a first message yes. Meet them, chat with them, then invite them round and say you’ll make something - don’t make a big deal of it - then wow them with your skills!

If I’m travelling with work I like to potentially mix a meeting with cooking in an air Bnb x good food good wine and great sex?

But the OP is asking about FWB situation and first message approach.

Apologies good point, I’m not sure I would open with an offer to cook!

Several of our fab meets have cooked for us. It's a nice gesture

Spending time together like that is cool.

Doing nice things for people is cool.

First message or first meet? I'd be concerned that the food was laced with knock out juice.

A lot of thoughtful answers so thank you so much!

Save the cooking card for later feels more of a consensus

I'm assuming if you are looking for FWB then you already know them? If so then there is no issue really - apart from the fact that cooking for someone can be one of the most intimate things you can do while remaining dressed and may give an impression you want more perhaps?

I guess it depends on how much time they have to spend with you. If they had the time, then like you, I'd cook...
