Salsa, chili, passata and Bolognese are all sauces which are red, as well as the sauce used on ice creams aka monkey blood.

Snobbery, has nowt to do with it it, as ketchup is written on the bottle.

Brown sauce, as the slight peppery taste goes nicely with the sweet ish taste of the Bacon.

BUT

If the Bacon butty has a fried egg on it, for me it would be Red sauce, only because I like the combination of tastes..

Try frying a bit of onion with the bacon. That was a revelation.

I've even put a few slices of Chorizo or Salami in the pan instead of oil. Once everything is pretty much cooked, fry a piece of bread in the pan.
