I might be mistaken but I believe it was all announced beforehand and he was given permission to play by the games and the ICC

I'm not sure if it was the same at the commonwealth games but at the tour de france a positive test didn't automatically mean they couldn't start, they also tested the viral load and the decision was based on that. A low viral load supposedly means that the virus is less transmissible |
