I think it’s better to take the chance if you believe it’s right and definitely have no regrets but you should never do something knowing you might need to later ask for forgiveness.

My Director says this at work all of the time. I guess he has a point. If we had to ask permission all the time we would never get anything done.

My Director says this at work all of the time. I guess he has a point. If we had to ask permission all the time we would never get anything done."

Personally I think it's an awful thing to say. I don't think he has a point at all. You don't need permission to do your job but if you're about to do something that you think you might have to ask to be forgiven for why on earth would you do it.
