Yes sometimes, we'd drive to the seaside for ice cream

Saying that my Dad was terrible for being spontaneous. He's very often pick up up from School and drive us to the coast for chips....as I got older he'd randomly want to go for midnight drives either to the coast or in the hills, he was a CB fanatic so off we'd go at all hours lol

Yes, to the fekkin woods to pick bilberries for my mum to make pies with.

Bastard flies and ants everywhere, took hours to wash the stains off my hands.

Hated it

Just for a drive, oh yes! We always asked where we were going and the answer was always the same

“There and back to see how far it is”

Used to go to Trafford Park on a Sunday, especially if there was a flea market on at bowlers, or visit a ship docked on the canal.

Always wanted to see the trains shunting(was into trains as a kid) but never seen them, realised they stopped running 15 years prior.

Sometimes we’d end up in bury and go in the steam trains there or have a wander round the workshops.

Yeah, to our local airport to watch the planes land and take off. I’d have my Walkman on to help ease the boredom.

Yes, wether we wanted to or not. Usually not. At first it was an occasional thing, then they joined the national trust. Get poor people to pay the upkeep of rich peoples houses.

All the time. It would either be good, a trip to some seaside town or small village. Bad, a walk round gardening centres and furniture shops.
