Way I see it, the Lounge is like a pub... and everyone starts off as the person that walks through the door for the first time.

Takes balls to do that when you don't know anyone and it's nice to welcome people with a smile and a "how are you" rather than have the whole place go silent and stare at you... or start the "banter" before you know the regulars and know the rhythm.

We've all got our own way of doing things, that's just mine. Others greet new folk by engaging them in banter and assuming they'll join in. I'll do me, others can do them

Just wanted to make it really clear that my comments about Bolton town centre being a shithole was no reflection on the person who posted the thread. The town centre IS a shithole and getting worse, most people seem to agree who have known the area for a long time. It used to be half decent

Allegedly but the council is no overall control so no-one can agree anything. There's been plans for years that never get done. Honestly, it's in a right old state.

Op, I’m originally from Bolton actually born in a two up two down house on Waterloo Street. So from one Boltonian to another, get yourself down to the Gatehouse Moses gate area. Better chance in a club than on the forums.

The first time I started a thread on the forums I got some grief from another TV. I had called myself a TV and a CD, she took umbrage to my self labelling. So it’s not unusual for people with opinions to give those opinions some air.

Enjoy it on here and accept that they’ll be times when it’s better to ignore than to reply.
