Any likeminded fabbers on here? When not scrolling through forum's are pounding the pavements?
If so have you a goal or race in mind? What distance do you enjoy?
I have no race myself yet but would like to run a marathon next year, and have put in a few 10 mile runs this week. Much prefer a long slow run to the short fast ones. |

I don't pound the pavements (if I can avoid them)
I toddle along the trails
Heading to 40k later this year. Not sure where yet.
50k next year. I don't plan to go above that unless I give in to pressure from my wife. |

Good luck in your 40k a friend has suggested a 55k event but I have never ran a full marathon yet. Have only rans half marathons |

Me!
Though I prefer trails to pavements.
This year has been a bit crap, I had covid in January and it took a couple of months to get over it and feel fit again, got a half PB in March but then got ill with my mental health and had to stop racing, did Milton Keynes marathon (a disaster) but have hardly raced March. I got fairly fit ahd was well enough with my mental health to do some races again but sprained my ankle walking in June which has set me back again.
I was targeting Newport Marathon but that has been cancelled so I'm not sure what I'll focus on now. I've got the Big Half next month but doubt I'll be race fit and then nothing booked other than 2 marathons on December. Hopefully find a couple of fast 10kms and halves before then. |

Oh so sorry to hear of your injuries. I was out of running for a while due to a knee injury. Which was only an ITB, so with strecthing and foam rolling I'm back to running. I found Bob and Brad YouTube channel good for recovery and injury prevention. Hope you get back to running strong soon my friend |
