I am someone with much respect for everyone until given reason for that to change. I enjoy the forums and the chat, the banter and all the good info around. I have come though to notice some people contradicting themselves in different posts. It's quite revealing really and I now pay more attention to that. A sort of cross-referencing so to speak. I am sure some of you will have also noticed that? |

"I notice it a lot.
I might even be guilty of it myself "
I think we can all change our minds though. I like to think I'm big & ugly enough to admit when I've initially got something wrong. There's a difference between that and absolute pig headedness ( is that a word?) |

We all do it eventually?
Frustrations, emotions, life's pressures must impact how we feel and react on a daily basis?
One day you'll see someone post about "Be kind, you never know what someone's going through in life", followed by "That guys an asshole" the next.
I have been known to contradict myself for these reasons on more than one occasion |

Absolutely, on the flip side though there is also an element of people misremembering what they have read.
They remember something based on how they interpreted it as opposed to what was actually written.
Combine the two together and it is quite common to have things not track consistently. |

Not all that North of North London |
I think there are some (not many) posters on here that are more inclined to agree or disagree with certain other posters than share their own thoughts.
It's all part of any forum though |

I'm certainly aware of it from people I know and it's one of the reasons I refuse to engage with them anymore.
They contradict themselves publicly to suit their agenda and to make sure they are relevant in other people's lives while hoping nobody notices.
They contradict themselves from private comments to forum comments by demonising and lambasting someone in private and a few minutes later acting like they are fab besties on the next thread.
There are a few that I don't know at all but because they are very productive on here it's easy to pick up on their contradictory behaviour which is also tailored around validation. |

Forums on any platform are no different than Les Dawson and Roy Barraclough chatting over the garden fence. Gossip, gossip, gossip. The vast majority of it unimportant and I genuinely wouldn't notice people contradicting themselves, because their opinions on the whole are irrelevant, regardless if I agree or disagree. It's the reason I don't do any social media. Irrelevant people's, irrelevant opinions. I see the irony in writing that btw. However I do enjoy the Fab forums because of the swinging and sexual content. If it weren't for that though, the forums would be no different than Facebook and we all know that's a cess pit. So the short version, no I don't notice, because that's what people do, and I don't notice, because I don't really care |

I've probably appeared to be a contradiction today. Normally, I'm level headed, full of confidence and all the rest but today, I'm not in that headspace. It's not a contradiction, but a manifestation of having too much stuff to deal with. Normal service will probably resume another day. Probably. |
