Im looking for some advice on how to get motivated to do more excercise, i feel like ive become quite lazy in the past couple of years and now its gotten to the point where i feel too tired to even think about it.
Any help would be appreciated |

It depends on what exercise you'd like to do I think.
If it's stuff like going to the gym I wouldn't know, but even walking is exercise.
Pick somewhere to have a trip out and walk there and back |

I feel like that most days (even though I enjoy lifting weights)
But don't set yourself a long list of goals etc or that you need to workout for a set time..Just need to force yourself to exercise, even if you only end up doing it for 5 mins.. |

Start small. Bit of walking each day to get yourself moving. Add in some body weight stuff for a few days then get in the gym.
Possibly find someone else in the same position so you can push each other when you’re having an off day. |

Think about what you enjoy. So much easier to stick stick to something if you want to do it!
Does depend on what you mean by exercise though, as it could be anything. Just going for a long walk every day would be a good start if you just wanted to get off the sofa! |

The most effective way to do this is weight training, a bit of cardio and diet. You will not get huge from weight training unless you're specifically training to do so.
For weight loss I find setting targets works for motivation. Set yourself a target for a specific date and work towards it. |

If I want motivation straight away to do something then I listen to a good fast upbeat music to get me in to it. For motivation on a longer time frame I read some books like fish sticks! Or who moved my cheese. |

I can recommend bouldering. Its excercise that feels like fun. Or is there something that you enjoy that also happens to be exercise? Maybe you could join a local football club? Or go dancing?
My trick when I am struggling with motivation is to do something for 5 minutes. Once Ive started, I usually want to carry on, and if I dont, then its clearly not a good time to do that thing |
