For all the married people!

Where did you have your bond tattoo of your marriage if you had one?

The female has hers on her wrist and I have mine on the back of my neck to stand out if a woman does happen to turn around and check me out!! I guess I had it here to prove my love and shout to the world I am married to her!

Yeah got my favourite, Roger Moore with his Walther PPK on my chest...

No, I've never even heard of this custom of a bond tattoo. Do many people do this?

I didn't even realise this was a thing. Surely the bedding band is enough?

Can ya not just sport a traffic cone on your head, with a 'I'm taken' sign attached?

Don't a lot of people have initials or a wedding date on their ring finger if they are going to bother with one.

To be fair I've spotted a fair few of 'wedding rings' tattooed onto fingers. Not sure what you'd do to the back of a neck? Bar code you can scan to see if they are indeed 'taken'?... Home phone number?... 'I'm married!' (you shoulda lifted my hair to check)...

Can you not just say you're married if anyone says 'hello' then?

It sounds like a lovely way to declare your bond to each other but what happens when it goes pear shaped? as it so very often does!

The finger would have hurt more than the neck!

We had the names and rings and the date. Was going to have it on my back but just paid for a full back to be done! We got engaged New Year’s Eve in lachambre just before it closed down, so I think I’m going to have the photos of the proposal incorporated into the back piece.

Soulmates never break up. We have been through a lockdown, with 2 parental deaths during that time on my side. Sister in-law has just got the all clear from Brest cancer and my disabled stepdaughter nearly died of covid twice. Father in law is currently poorly but we are still helping him. All in 2 years and moving house 3 times is enough to make a marriage break or fail. We broke as individuals but worked as a team to get through it all. We met swinging and we have the ideal arrangement on what we seek as married swingers. But never say never as there is sure to be more hard times ahead but I don’t think it could crack true love. X

Wow, that's an amazing lot going on for the two of you

I'm still in the process at 43, of having a tattoo I got aged 17 inked though. Definitely not for life, but they hang around a bit and removal is so, so much painful

What did you have inked at 17? I was 14 when I got inked and had it covered up at 19, since then I had a scorpion being a Scorpio and the wedding tattoo. It’s being on fab I have found a love of shaded ink so I thought I would have the back covered x

I got a silly posy of flowers around my belly button... Stretched during prebancy at 18, cost several pounds in removal since, and laser hurts way more than a tattoo it turns out

Gutted your 1st born did that to your tattoo. Laser is Very expensive. I remember my uncle had to have his removed on his hands and undertook laser treatment.

I was thinking on where I should have had it. The ankle did cross my mind as I am always on a curfew since being wed!!

Amazing that you got tattooed at 14 though? Was that in an actual parlour? Cos they'd have been massively breaking the law there?

It was a parlour and I was in 9 am and got served at 5pm one Saturday!!. I felt sorry for them because I was 6ft4 back then and had fake id to cover me if challenged. I was £5 short of a Celtic band so I got a Tasmanian devil on my arm!
