Geordie women are the best of the best.

We’re known for Gregg’s, bridges, Ant and Dec, Lucozade, the first street in the world to be electrically lit, punching horses, football royalty, Raoul Moat, the best looking street in UK and plenty more.

Scottish junkies who migrated south?

Seriously, got off the train there several months ago and it was like the Krankies and everyone from Trainspotting where having a piss up in the middle of the street.

But I know this much about Geordies themselves. They're ALWAYS great fun to hang with.

Well said!

Unfortunately Newcastle are well known for Hen and Stag events - like most big cities are.

Doesn't mean it's well known for slags!

In the 90s, Keegan, and onwards they were romanticised.

Less so when Ashley.

More the club than the team though. Amazing club, fantastic support blah blah etc. Like you said though, they've been shite!

Fair enough. From my perspective I think we get a lot of shit from the media. The supposed expectations and the “deluded Geordies” tag gets thrown around a bit but if you speak to actual Newcastle fans we know we’re shit but we just hope to be a bit less shit each season.

Howay the lads! (And lasses too)

It’s not don’t be silly.

Best home and away support in the top tier of English football.

Sell outs week in week out with an average of 3k at the division 2 womens games too. Best fans in the country without a doubt

22k at one women’s game this season."

It’s a glorious thing. Then Toon are well on the way up! Despite some rough luck and a few rolls of the dice not going our way it’s been the most enjoyable season for a long time. Probably since the Pardiola magical year.

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place, and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that! I'm always gonna love you, no matter what. No matter what happens. You're my son and you're my blood. You're the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, you ain't gonna have a life.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Viz, wasn’t that created in Newcastle? A truly unique British publication that’s still going strong.

Apart from the football, we love the city.

We explored it as tourists recently and it was an eye-opener to how much cultured options there is.
