Removed about ten sneaky Creepies over the past couple of weeks. I've now chopped some garlic cloves and put them along my windowsills. What's your spider deterrent when closed windows aren't an option in this miserable humidity?

"A life-sized cardboard cutout of Amanda Holden."

I don't want to scar them emotionally for life, just keep them out.

You've got to be cruel to be kind.

I step over them if they're on the floor and wish them good morning or goodnight when I go to bed.

I apologise when vacuuming for messing up their hard work too.

Sometimes I put them outside when it becomes a bit much.

I accidentally cooked one the other day as it sat by the dryer.

"Conkers in corners "

Interesting, I read it was citric, vinegar and garlic that put them off.

Did you have it with salad or any condiment?

I did not. It met the dust fairies in my vacuum cylinder

I don't mind them! Just hope they don't climb in if I sleep with mouth open! My girls on other hand scream like banshees if they see the smallest of them! They have conkers in corners of their rooms and those plug in things x

Unless it's a qualified dentist. It could have a scout round and leave a report on any work that might need doing.

They are gainfully employed in the home, but they take their chances with the cats..

Thought garlic was for pesky vampires.

Horse chestnuts or spray is what keeps the spiders away

I've been bitten by a false black widow and can tell you that its extremely unpleasant.

For the most part, spiders kill the flies bit false black widows get mushed

I'm not in the least bothered by spiders.

I can understand those that are but....if a person kills them then I'm not happy

In my house we name them, they usually disappear after a while or get put outside.

Noticed a few apparently false widows lately that have found their way indoors. One was in a towel I dried my hands on, that did actually make me jump, had one in the kitchen sink staring at me while I washed up.

I made fly screens for my windows so I don't tend to get things through the windows.

The false widows are pretty and I dint mind spiders, the eat bugs so I let them stay when they do show up.
