I have just spent a weekend in Wimbledon village. A really nice area. Green spaces, well currently dry grass, and, as always I looked in estate agents windows.
It seemed a semi detached averages around £2m and there was a 6 bed detached for £17m.
Now I’m sure it’s lovely but if money was no object where would you live and why? |

Nah,everyone knows God country is Wales. Amazing beaches further west you travel and beautiful towns, villages. I'm lucky to live 1 hour drive to visit Brecon Beacons mountains or 1 hour drive to the nearest beach. |

Somewhere woody and remote with beautiful scenery. I need to do a lot of travelling first so I can make sure I choose the right place. Travel donations welcome |

"I would honestly live in Paignton, I don't know why but it's the place that I feel happiest and it feels like home to me."
I appreciate Paignton, living in Torquay it's nice to pay a visit to the tip there every so often |

BTW, that is just the village. The town is not so nice. And both places are overrun with tennis fans for 2 weeks each year. |

It's a piss take. Almost over the country.
Price of milk goes up and people loose their shit.
Price of bread goes up ,people loose their shit. Price of your house goes up and everyone thinks its brilliant.
Where are your kids going to stay.? 100 year mortgage is on its way. |

My dad grew up in a 4 bedroom house on Wimbledon hill and also lived in another house near the common. No way could any of the family afford to live there anymore!
Even with all the money in the world I would still live right here. I'd buy though. Maybe buy one of the big old houses that's converted to flats and turn it back into a massive house. |

I'd love a place in Wensleydale. Away from people with enough land for a few animals and an organic vegetable garden, maybe a brook flowing past the house. |

We don't have endless riches however we are in the process of selling up and emigrating to Portugal. We would still go there and buy a small holding if we were from the elite. You don't need excessive riches to find your nirvana |

How nice to say.
Actually this. There’s some places in the Lake District hat suits me. Out of the way, in the woods where I love to be.
But I’d probably opt for Viginia USA, realy close to the Smokey mountains. They have the better weather. |

"On a big yacht cruising all year round "
I would like to add a few pit stops at a luxury villa in Portugal or Greece , a beatiful Swiss chalet for winter skiing (well maybe just apre skiing) and a London penthouse apartment for a bit of ooh la la, music, theatre etc. |

I like the area North of Salisbury plain up to the the Cotswolds.
Not had much urban sprawl and has lovely villages.
It’s around an hour from the coast as well.
I’m exploring ideas about moving down should the right place come up. Ten years there then I think move home.
If money was no object a house in the Savernake would be nice. |

I like it where I am. Nice and quiet seaside town. Seafront about 5-10 mins drive away. Larger towns/cities just a short train or car journey away. To answer the question, if money was no object I suppose a larger place to store 2-3 of my favourite cars! |

Not all that North of North London |
I'd stay close to where I am but probably head out of this town (as nice as it is) and find a cottage in one of the villages. Main priority would remain plenty of bridleways and footpaths close by to be out in the fields. |

House prices here are shooting up driven by all the cockneys selling their sheds for a million pounds and emigrating up north. Then sitting in the pub and in a very loud voice telling everyone how much they made selling up! |

Lifes departure lounge NN9 Northamptonshire East not West MidlandsMidlands |
In this country it would be the Cotswolds, probably Bourton on the Water or Moreton in the Marsh.
Overseas it would be in Brittany, beginning to question my decision to sell the holiday home I had there a few years ago. |

Think I’d buy near a ferry port here in French France so I could pop over to see the kids for lunch.
Don’t mean to piss on anyones chips but you can still buy houses cheap here and cheap as in as low as €15,000 !!!!!

Seconded. And don't forget the gorgeous, all-pervading hoppy aroma of Sheps brewery. |
