An Ozzie traveller returned home with a MacDonalds meal in his hand luggage. Unsurprisingly a police dog sniffed out the contraband. Result was a fine or around £1500 and the meal confiscated and sent for testing for Foot and Mouth disease as a biosecurity measure.
Is there foot and mouth in McDonalds food?

Aus has VERY strict biosecurity laws which govern what can and can't be brought in. Organic materials are seen to be a huge threat as there is a significant risk of diseases and other factors being introduced inadvertently
to a truly unique and highly sensitive ecosystem.
I wouldn't imagine there is foot and mouth present in McDs food but I don't blame the Aussies for taking as many precautions as possible. At the end of the day, Why the fuck would you sneak a McDs burger into the country when they could just buy one there?!

I think its "Border Control" on Channel 5 again i might be wrong but worth a watch and you would understand that they do not mess about with what does and does not come into their country.
I admire them and wish we were as strict
As for trying to smuggle a McD's in, then they deserved the fine for being that stupid |

Most, if not all, countries have strict regulations on bringing organic matter across their borders, it means nothing. Strangely none of my children have ever been tested. |
