A week or so ago i posted about the onset of an eye infection. It turns out it wasn't. I rapidly lost the sight in that eye and had to have an emergency procedure in hospital and came close to being permanently blinded.
So, it started off a bit pink, then came the pain followed by a loss of vision. Please, if this happens to you don't write it off as trivial. Get yourself seen. |

I couldn't agree more. I'm just back from my annual eye check up, and they have spotted (very) early signs of cataracts. I'm about 3-4 years away from surgery, atm, so I won't need the Braille keyboard just yet. |

I agree
In April I noticed a change in the vision in one of my eyes. I knew it was a problem with the macular so saw an optician straightaway and had surgery recently to hopefully repair the hole.
Hope you're recovered op |

Couldn't agree more. Had to have cataracts removed from my eye. A few years ago, as I was there I got lenses fitted. Insurance paid for the operation,I just paid for the lenses. Best thing ever 20/20 vision now. So all good. |

Thank you all. Yes it was extremely painful and caught just in time before permanent damage was done. So far i have about 80% of my vision restored after a week of treatment. The doctor says it's unlikely it will return to what it was but i remain optimistic. |
