Overheard a few couples chatting in LC
"Eww I didn't fancy him - beer belly and tight shirt isn't a good look"
"Yeah she has curves in all the right places and a great rack"
Visually they both looked very similar in terms of build. Why does the woman get a positive spin on it with the BBW tag and blokes don't?

"I've never heard of women being attracted to 'big' guys especially whereas some guys look for this build almost as a fetish. Weird."
lots of women like or dont mind big men,
same as some men dont like big women. |

Big boobs and hips of bbw female can symbolise fertility and breast feeding so they look like a good mate.
Big belly guy makes him lool too slow and unathletic to be a good hunter and therefore not a good mate. |

overweight, fat, chunky, chubby, stocky, obese, large, cuddly, big
i've been called them all
none of them particularly bother me now but that hasn't always been the case
i think people need to be careful when using the term 'fat' though
by careful, i guess i mean respectful and/or thoughtful
it's ok to call yourself fat, but hearing someone else say it can be confidence damaging
not because as a stand alone term it is that offensive, but because it is usually coupled with other negative words
fat and ugly
fat and smelly
getting back to the OP however, no i don't feel BBW is sexist - it is no more than a descriptive
and i have enough labels to choose from already, so personally i can live without acronyms being added to the list too |

"BBW is no more than a euphism for fat."
Indeed. It's political correctness gone mad.
I am fat. It's a fact. Not a request for compliments.... or put downs. Just a fact.
It doesn't matter what words other people use to describe me. I'm just me. Some will like me, some won't.

i think as men are more obsessed with sex, there is way more porn aimed at men than woman, thats why bbw is a mans fetish..
i have a friend who always goes for chunky guys |

"[Removed by poster at 21/11/12 14:02:43] You know guys usually just go for whatever we can find....Especially here.."
Nonsense. Men are as different in this respect as women. I've always been extremely choosy and wouldn't have dreamed of going with any Sue, Mary or Ann who came along even in my teens and early twenties.

Very observant; thanks for clearing that up!
do you have an actual point to make? "
I thought I'd made it perfectly clear.
You have an alternative view? |

There's ugly people of all shapes and sizes. Meaning ugly on the inside...
Some people get an inflated sense of self worth when they get hundreds of mails and compliments from hundreds of horny desperate men...... |

"I've never heard of women being attracted to 'big' guys especially whereas some guys look for this build almost as a fetish. Weird."
I had a lover who was a large guy, and he was the sofetest, gentlest man i had ever met, kind and funny... thankfully I never place too much on looks, I prefer to get to know someone, as this is where you find their true beauty. I have to admit I am sucker for someone who makes me laugh, or at least smile....

"BBW is no more than a euphism for fat."
I'm a curvy woman, and I hate the term BBW!! Similarly, when a lady I know recently called me 'cuddly', I requested this never occurred again, as I hate this term too. Id rather be called fat tbh, at least it's straight to the point with no ambiguity!

A friend of mine says that when he tells people he likes men that very few react.
But when he tells them that he exclusively likes FAT MEN then they usually don't get it.
He reckons it's like having to 'come out' twice.
He had one colleague tell him he was 'sick' for fancying fat people |
