How do you know someone is hiding anything?
Are you getting 3rd party info - because that's not always reliable or true.
Are you basing that assumption on a lack of veris? Because not everyone shows them.
Are you mistaking banter and apparent friendship in forum threads for something more?

The forum users who have messaged me privately, and those I've met with have invariably wanted their privacy respected, even to the extent of not leaving verifications. In my opinion, if that's what they want, then that's what happens. |

People do that all the time. Its not a forum thing.
People browse existing veris and may decide that a previous meet puts them off for whatever reason. You won't know what that reason is, nor will you have any control over it.
I'm 100% sure that there are forum 'personalities' that form likes and dislikes of other forum users based on things they've seen in posts, read in veris and heard from third parties (again, gossip and the opinion of others isn't always factual).
I'm also 100% sure that some will deny ever getting jiggy with someone if they think it will hamper them getting a meet with someone else.
Such is life. You cant control it so don't worry about it.
