My energy supplier's website shows me I've used about 30% less electricity compared to last year but about 8% more gas

If that's EDF, their calculations are way out. I take monthly readings and have done for 3 years and what they're showing me for this year is sooooo far out it might as well be someone elses bill!

We were given one of those energy monitor things which would be great if we used too much energy. We managed to get it up to orange a couple of times when we had the dishwasher and washing machine on but the rest of the time we were on green.

We don't leave lights or electrical appliances on, we use the washing line or radiators to dry clothes, and we don't have a tv in every room like some people. Therefore, we actually used MORE energy by having this blooming monitor plugged in!
